We've got another heat wave in NYC this week, so I thought it would be appropriate to showcase a few of my favorite waterproof make up. I wear these cosmetics almost daily. I did a lot of testing a few years ago when I was planning my wedding in Puerto Rico. I had to make sure my make up would hold up in the hot & humid weather!

I have short stubby eyelashes that slant down. This mascara + a good eye lash curler is all I need to keep my eyelashes curled and intact! The only downside is the removal process. You have to remove this mascara with warm water. Make-up eye remover will work. However, you'll end up rubbing your eyes for too long. I basically have to pull the mascara off of my lashes with hot water.
Smashbox Waterproof Eyeliner
With an eyeliner brush, I can easily glide this eyeliner on my eye. I've tried liquid eyeliners (Maybelline& Urban Decay) and they always bleed into my eye. Apparently, I'm not skilled enough for liquid eyeliner. Pencil eyeliners will give me raccoon eyes. This eyeliner + the Clinque mascara is the ultimate anti-raccoon eye power couple.
If you used this with your lipstick, your lipstick color will stay intact even after eating! The color might be a few shades lighter, but it's definitely still there and doesn't give you the washed out look.
Urban Decay Eye Primer
A eyeshadow primer is a necessity when it comes to wearing eyeshadows. I wore this eye primer with my eye shadow the entire day of my red eye back from my trip from Seattle and the day after, and my eye shadow was still perfect.

Ha- when it gets this hot out I tend to just go "NO MAKEUP". But maybe I should look into some of these options.
