Spring Finds

A few weeks ago, I had a post on Spring Returns. This is my follow up to that post!  The clothes shown were part of my "color blasting"  J.Crew order. I realized I had to put this post together before Summer starts (June 20th!)

Skirt: Long No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double Serge Cotton in Warm Jade Size 0P
I'm loving this skirt. It's casual yet sophisticated. It's perfect for the hot summer work day...whenever that will be. Also, I'm really surprised at how well it also fits. On the model, the skirt is baggy and goes below her knees!

Vintage Tee in Rich Violet Size XXS
I'm a sucker for soft thin t-shirts that don't show your bra and that don't shrink when you put it in the wash or dryer. I'm tempted to purchase all of the colors!

Petite Perfect Shirt in Mini Gingham in Bright Dahlia Size 0P
I've been craving for a gingham shirt, especially this shirt! I actual bought this one full price! Gasp! This shirt has been online for a long time, and it has yet to go on sale. So I took the plunge.

The fit is really unbelievably perfect: arm, body length, and waist. The length is much longer than some of the dress shirts I purchased from Banana Republic. I'm able to easily tuck it in to my pants or skirt. The shirt is a bit constricting in the shoulders, but my shoulders are a bit broad. Apparently, I'm not used to wearing perfectly fitted dress shirts because I feel like I'm the incredible hulk about to rip off my shirt whenever I reach for something high. I have to be careful.

The sad part about this shirt is that the thread and fabric are totally delicate, and I already had to take it to the tailor to fix a seam rip on the cuff. I loved it enough to save it. Lesson Learned: This shirt is not like the vintage tee. I cannot just toss it in the wash.

Kate Spade New York Leslie Pumps in Ash Wood Size 5
I visited the Kate Spade store and used my company discount. I found these lovely stacked heels that actually fit my feet perfectly. WHOA! The last time I purchased closed toe heels that actually fitted perfectly was...2008. Seriously. So I'm quite happy with these pumps. I still haven't walked 10 blocks with them, so my opinion might change later.

Moral of the story is, if fits, keep it!

I love the shoes! I think a brown belt would look nice with the tee and skirt too.
